make believe better.
there’s…
there’s something there.
there’s a there, there.
it’s easily repeatable, focused, and it’s simple.
a powerful phrase and inspiring to boot.
make believe better.
it’s more than a phrase…
maybe it’s a philosophy?
in the middle of everything falling apart.
it asks us to try.
we live in a time of collapse.
of chaos.
of exhaustion.
in the middle of all the chaos and collapse.
the crushing weight of time and tradition.
there’s a breath.
a blink.
a spark.
a moment where you get to choose.
you get to look at the noise,
the ruin,
the sheer absurdity of it all.
and decide:
I’m still going to try.
to make something.
to build a bridge.
even if it only spans a single thought.
to plant a flag.
even if the wind will take it tomorrow.
not because it will last.
because it was made.
because it mattered to you.
because for one second.
in the middle of a fleeting now.
you believed in better.
even as the madness of the now marches on.
there is a magic, a frequency, or a something.
it’s there.
i know…
i know it’s hard to see.
but believe, it’s there.
we’re standing on top of stories.
ideas and dreams.
made real by the people who came before us.
the streets we walk down.
the words we speak.
every tool we use.
it’s all built on make-believe.
someone imagined a better way.
a new way.
a different way.
and made it real…
that’s the inheritance we’ve been handed.
not permanence, but possibility.
maybe, the goal is to leave something beautiful in the sand before the tide rolls in.
build it anyway.
dream it anyway.
love anyway.
if the end is inevitable.
let’s make the in-between mean something.
you ever think about what kind of make-believe you want to leave behind?
